Gérard Pélisson was co-founder of the Accor hotel group and a close friend of Paul Bocuse. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Institut, helping build it into a world-renowned school for culinary arts and hospitality.
The two statues of Bocuse and Pélisson stand together at the entrance of the school's historic Château du Vivier in Écully — a tribute to their joint legacy in French gastronomy and hospitality education.
